Christmas came early for Tafelsig congregation when District Apostle Barnes paid them a surprise visit on Sunday 15 November 2015.

Bishop Schoeman who was initially booked to conduct the divine service, accompanied the District Apostle. The members were visibly surprised when the District Apostle took the altar.
The text word for the service was taken out of Luke 13:17. The District Apostle used this opportunity to thank the congregation for their sacrifices whenever a special divine service is scheduled in Tafelsig. Members often have to travel to alternative venues when the hall is being used for events such as Rectors’ day and the visit of our Chief Apostle.
The District Apostle made specific reference to the beautiful miracles we experience in God’s house. The service was even more special for Deacon Snell and his wife who received their silver wedding anniversary blessing.
There was great joy after the divine service and the members couldn’t stop talking about their early Christmas present. Visitors from as far as Germany and America were also in attendance.
