Sunday 4 August 2019 was a special day for the members of Malibu Village and Voëlvlei congregations as District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service in Malibu congregation.

Beautiful choir renditions and orchestral music created a festive atmosphere while members filled the hall in anticipation of the heavenly blessings.

The Bible word for the divine service was taken from Matthew 6 a portion of verse 13. “And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.”

The choir then rendered the hymn “Thy sacred place”, whereupon the District Apostle reflected that the choir paved the way for the service because the sacred place is not the building, but where two or three gathers in His name.

Apostle M Diedricks was called to serve along.

Before the conclusion of the divine service, Bishop B Norman was placed into retirement after 31 years of service to those entrusted unto him. The District Apostle thanked the Bishop and his wife for all their labours of love.

The Cape Winelands Apostle Area also received new gifts in the appointment of three District Rectors and three Rectors.

The choir crowned the divine service with a powerful and rousing rendition of “Praise ye the Lord all ye nations”, thereby concluding a most blessed morning in the house of God.
