Members from Uniondale, Avontuur, Welgelegen Farm and Haarlem congregations gathered in the Uniondale Civic Centre for the long-awaited divine service conducted by District Apostle J Kriel. He was accompanied by the Apostle J Cronjé, Bishops I Adams and T Stephens, District Rectors and Rectors of the George area.
The Bible word which served as the basis for the divine service was taken from a John 20:28-29, "And Thomas answered and said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus said to him, 'Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'.”
Apostle Cronjé and District Elder Paulse were called to serve along.
After the divine service, the District Apostle thanked the congregation for their preparations and took time to greet the members. He also took a few photographs with the Sunday School children, Rectors and their wives and individual members.
