On Saturday 8 December 2018,
Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider held a conference at the ZK Matthews Hall at the University of South Africa (Unisa).
This first engagement of the Chief Apostle was a meeting with the Apostles and Bishops of Southern Africa. It was the first time since the formation of the New Apostolic Church South Africa in 2016 that all the Apostles and Bishops gathered.
Those invited were 2 District Apostles, 2 District Apostle Helpers, 27 Apostles and 36 Bishops representing South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Madagascar and Mozambique.
When the Chief Apostle arrived, he was welcomed by the Sunday School children who sang a song especially composed by sister Andrea Mitas titled ‘Good news’. In the song the children expressed their happiness for the Day of the Child (a local theme by District Apostle J Kriel), which will be held in May 2019, when the Chief Apostle visits South Africa again.
The Chief Apostle did not stop smiling when he entered the conference with the apostles as it was evident that he enjoyed the warm and vibrant welcome by the group of children and fellow brothers and sisters.
In the meeting the Chief Apostle provided inspirational insights and clarifications on the role of spiritual leaders in preaching the message of salvation. Thereafter, the Chief Apostle expounded on the Concept of Ministry.
The Chief Apostle was accompanied by the District Apostles Kriel and Ekhuya (Kenya) and the District Apostle Helpers Mkhwanazi and Soko (Zambia).
