With the year 2015 only eighteen days old, and the visit of Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider to our district church only a week away, District Apostle N Barnes served the congregation of Westgate.

This community is regarded as the western gateway to Mitchell’s Plain, one of the largest townships of South Africa that houses many new apostolic families.
The bible text of Romans 12:2 served as the foundation for the divine service: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”. The central theme was the preservation of our Joy in Christ and striving to align ourselves to the will of God by Loving God, our neighbour and showing tolerance and respect for others.
Following the celebration of Holy Communion two priests were appointed as Rector Helpers to bolster the soul care in the congregation.
After the service the district apostle greeted members seated in the marquee which was set up adjacent to the church building to accommodate those who could not be seated in the church. An audio-visual link-up enabled them to follow the proceedings in the main hall.
The service also served to further enhance the preparation for the visit of Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider.
