It was with great joy and enthusiasm that the members of Scottsville, La Petit and Protea Heights Congregations in the Kraaifontein North District received the news that District Apostle John Kriel was going to conduct a service on Wednesday, 1 February 2017.
Much preparation preceded his visit and this could be heard in the singing of the choir and the music of the orchestra.
The Bible word which formed the basis of the divine service was taken out of the book of Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
The District Apostle emphasised that we as God’s children should “Keep the Hope Alive” through our faith in Jesus Christ.
Apostle Cronje was also called to serve along.
After the celebration of Holy Communion, further joy and happiness was experienced in that the Rector of Scottsville congregation, Shepherd Stevens and his wife, received their Silver Wedding Anniversary Blessing. The District Apostle gave the couple a further guide word taken from Psalms 23:6.
After the divine service the District Apostle, Apostles and Bishops enjoyed a short fellowship with the members.
