This was the key message from the audio visually transmitted divine service which was conducted by District Apostle John Kriel on Sunday, 22 January 2017, in the historic church building of Claremont, Cape Town.
The divine service was the highlight of the first conference for Apostles and Bishops of the new NAC Southern Africa. The District Apostle was accompanied by District Apostle Helper Mkhwanazi, 15 Apostles and 27 Bishops from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
Romans 15:5-7 formed the basis of the divine service “Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.”
The District Apostle reminded the congregation of the Chief Apostle’s message for 2017, “Glory be to God our Father”, and emphasised the need for us to glorify God through our unity.
District Apostle Helper Mkhwanazi was also called to serve.
Apostles Jacques Cronjé and Sipho Mogane served as proxies for the serving of Holy Communion for the departed.
Before the choir concluded the divine service, Claremont congregation received the thrilling news that Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider will serve them later this year when Apostle Stephens is placed into retirement. One can rest assured that preparations for this great day have already started!
