On Sunday 6 November 2016, District Apostle N Barnes served the congregation of Hanover Park.

Adding to the festive Sabbath day was the celebration of the Service for the Departed.

The Bible word for the divine service was taken out of Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit”. Apostle Cronjé and Bishop Liwakala assisted in serving the congregation

After the divine service, the District Apostle spent a few moments with the ministers and posed for a few photos with them.

The service was special for the congregation as it was the last divine service for the Departed that was held by the District Apostle before his pending retirement with the visit of Chief Apostle Schneider in December 2016.
