Palm Sunday, 14 April 2019, marked the last scheduled divine service for the Worcester area and
Roodewal congregation, in particular, before the retirement of Apostle AD Kriel in May. Invited to this special event were members from Zwelethemba and some rectors of the area.
As foundation for the divine service the Bible word that was used was taken from Matthew 21:14-15, "Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ they were indignant".
Bishop JG Cook was called to serve along after which the children rendered an item on their recorders.
To make his last visit even more special, a fellowship at the Kleinplasie Museum was arranged with rectors and wives of the Worcester and Rawsonville districts in attendance.
