The congregations of Parkwood Central and Parkwood North, which are both part of the Grassy Park bishop area, were overjoyed when they heard that the newly ordained District Apostle J Kriel would be conducting the last service of 2016 for them in Parkwood Central.
The district apostle served the festive congregation with a sermon based on the Bible word from 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. The choir served as a mouthpiece for the congregation in expressing their gratitude for the grace of God afforded them during the course of the year when they sang: Thou crownest the year with thy Goodness. During the sermon all present were encouraged to continue keeping their faith alive, during the new year.
Apostle P Lambert as well as the District Elder D Alfred was called upon to assist in serving the gathered congregants. All too soon the festive hour was concluded and a spiritually thankful and happy congregation exited God’s house.
