Apostle Area 10

On Sunday morning 22 January 2017, youth from the George and Knysna area paid a visit to the congregation of Plettenberg Bay.
After a most blessed divine service held by District Apostle JL Kriel via the audio-visual transmission network, they met with the youth from Plettenberg Bay. Priest Lawrence, the spiritual youth leader addressed the youth concerning the meeting planned for the next evening, while the assistant George Bishop Area youth leader spoke about the upcoming dragon boat regatta and February youth programme. This was also a good opportunity to prepare the youth for the upcoming youth service on 19 February 2017, to be held by Bishop T. Stephens in Plettenberg Bay.
They then went to the home of sister Wilderman to enjoy some refreshments and also stopped over in Harkerville to visit the Herder family. Truly, they can say as the youth of the George Bishop Area (GBA): “We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing”.

The target for the annual can project in 2016 was 50 000 cans for the District Apostle Area, then NAC Cape. The target for the George Bishop Area (GBA) was set at 1 971 cans. The congregations in the GBA worked tirelessly to achieve this target. The target group for the year was children.
On Friday 09 December 2016 the cans were handed over to the Moreson Children’s home by Bishop TD Stephens. He was accompanied by Priest J Petersen- the BAA for the area. The cans were handed over to the manager of the  children’s home Me Ronell Lindholm.  It was great to see the thankfulness and appreciation on the faces of those present when the number of tins were handed over.

The matriculants of Missionvale Congregation would like to thank their spiritual leaders, especially the District Apostle for all the prayers, care and interest in their education. They also appreciate and value the District Apostle’s personal letter very highly. Their parents are also sincerely thankful to the District Apostle for his letter to them. They wish him Godly blessings.

Apostle HB Swartbooi visited the congregation of Forest Hill on Wednesday, 7 December 2016.

On this occasion of his visit, he sealed 9 souls. After Holy Communion the Apostle called Community Evangelist Andrew Lotz to the altar and placed him into retirement. Community Evangelist Lotz served in the ministry for 26 years. The Apostle thanked the Community Evangelist for his contributions in the Lord’s work and wished him well in his retirement.
