On Sunday 27 January 2019, Apostle PS Liwakala visited Salambala West Congregation

in the Bukalo District. He was accompanied by the District Elder BM Matengu and District Evangelist Leonard Chika.

The congregation awaited the Apostle’s visit with much joy and excitement. On his arrival at the congregation, he was welcomed by the Sunday School children, which gave him the opportunity to inform the children about the year 2019, which is a year for the children. He also informed them about the visit of our Chief Apostle in May this year, when he will conduct a divine service for all the children of our District Church.

As basis for the Divine Service the Apostle read the Bible word from Psalm 130:5 – 6, “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning – Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.”

He encouraged the members to wait patiently for the Lord and serve the Lord Jesus and others with their gifts and talents, while waiting for the return of our Lord. The District Evangelist L. Chika was also called to serve along.

During the divine service 32 souls received the Gift of the Holy Spirit. One Priest and three deacons were also ordained. After the divine service, the Apostle greeted the congregation and took time to interact with the members, even singing and dancing with them.
